Second World War - Victory in Europe (VE75) Project

Victory in Europe 75th Anniversary of CelebrationsOur Society is working with the Imperial War Museum War and Conflict - Subject Specialist Network. We plan to publish our research on-line on 8th May 2020 to coincide with the 75th Anniversary of "Victory in Europe" celebrations.

The Society planned an Open Day on 8th May 2020 to share findings from the Project. However, Covid-19 pandemic restrictions mean these plans are under review.

Our records include several people whose names are absent from Parish Memorials.

We welcome your own or family stories to include in the records covering WW2 in the Parishes of Lynsted with Kingsdown, Teynham, Newnham, Doddington, Wychling, Norton, Luddenham, Oare (these are the Parishes of the Ecclesiastical Parish of Kingsdown and Creekside).

Contact: email - parishrecords@lynsted-society.co.uk or call 522842 (Lis Heriz-Smith).
