| 29th June | 10.30am: Walking Tour of Faversham with Bob Baxter who is a Faversham Society Guide. On a Saturday morning and costing £5 per head. This was a fascinating and revealing walk under the expert guidance of Bob Baxter. It was joined by several Members. The Society thoroughly recommends joining walking tours led by the Faversham Society on Bank Holidays and Saturday mornings. With 450 Listed buildings in Faversham and the varied interests of your guides and groups, each visit is unique. |
| 14th July Note the change of date | 2-4pm: Farm Walk. Kingsdown Farm. A very popular meadow and farm walk followed by tea and cake. All ages Members, their families and friends. Postponed one week from 7th July due to very poor weather forecast! |
26th August |
1-4pm: Lynsted Revival Summer Fete - 1940's/1950s Theme. The Society will have a pergola for anyone wanting to know more of our Committee, programme of events and purposes. A very traditional Fete - Fancy dress parade, vegetable and cake competitions, Prizes, Live Music, Dog show, Teas & cakes, Bar, Tug of War, Raffle, BBQ. Venue: Lynsted Park, Lynsted, ME9 0JH. |
| 4th September | London Silkewomen and post-Black-Death "girl power". Popular speaker, Sue Lamberton, returns to give this presentation. Admission: free to Members, £3 for non-members. Light refreshments included. |
| 23rd October | Islands of the Medway Estuary - Adam Taylor will describe the once inhabited islands, their history, flora and fauna, with abandoned forts and a German submarine! Admission: free to Members; non-members £3. Light refreshments included. |

7.30pm: Short AGM, swiftly followed by "The Olympics" - (8.00pm) a talk by the Chairman of the Olympic Association, Sir Hugh Robertson. Admission: free to all Note: This event takes place on a Friday. |
